1 – THE DATE RESERVATION TAKES EFFECT:
A reservation is made in order to accomodate the tourist for a pre-determined stay, choosing from the options available. The beneficaries of a pitch or rented accommodation are here-after referred to as the “tourist” ((camper))
A reservation takes effect when a booking form has been completed by the tourist and sent to St Avit Loisirs, whose management undertakes to confirm within 8 days their acceptance of the reservation by returning a written contract to the tourist or, by default, will reimburse the deposit sent by the tourist prior to the definitive contract.
2 – RESERVATION CHARGES:
The sum paid on reservation includes the deposit and booking charges :
-The deposit is made in case either party has to go back on their undertaking :
If a contract cannot be honoured by the tourist he would lose his deposit, and if Saint Avit cannot honour it, they would return the amount of the deposit doubled.
- The booking charges are considered non-refundable.
3 – BALANCE OF PAYMENT:
The cost of stay as proposed in the contract will cover all proposed benefits. The tourist must pay the balance of his stay at least 4 weeks before arrival if renting accommodation (mobile-home/ bungalow), or on the day of arrival for a camping pitch.
4 – IN THE EVENT OF A CANCELLATION:
In the event of a cancellation less than 4 weeks before due arrival, and if no guarantee against cancellation has been taken out, the following charges will be payable :
- For a camping pitch it is the deposit made + the application charges to be paid by the party requesting the cancellation.
- For rented accomodation it is the total cost of the stay + the application charges to be paid be the party requesting the cancellation.
Changes on bookings can only be made a minimum of 4 weeks before the beginning of the stay, and after agreement by the management.
Bookings are made in a given name and cannot be modified without the management’s agreement.
5- GUARANTEE AGAINST CANCELLATION:
It is possible to take out a guarantee against cancellation : the subscription is 5 euros per day, multiplied by the total number of days of your stay. To qualify, written notification of the cancellation must be made to the management and sent by recorded delivery 7 days before the stay. So this guarantee can no longer take effect 1 week before the first day of your stay. This guarantee against cancellation will enable you to be fully reimbursed, non- inclusive of the cost of the guarantee.
6 – A SHOTENED STAY:
Benefits included in the cost of the stay and unused by the tourist are not subject to reimbursement, whatever the cause.
7 – INSURANCE:
The tourist must take out civil liability insurance to cover any damage claims.
8 – DISPOSITION OF THE FACILITIES:
The rented facilities are at the tourists disposition as follows :
For camping pitches: from 12:00 on the day of arrival. Pitch must be vacated before 10:00 on the day of departure.
Rented accommodation: accessible from 17:00 on the day of arrival. Accomodation must be vacated before 10:00 on the day of departure.
An inventory of fixtures and fittings is given to the tourist on his arrival. He must immediately inform Saint Avit Loisirs of any eventual anomalie and ensure amendment to the inventory.
The identification numbers for rented accomodation are issued by Saint Avit Loisirs on the day of arrival.
In the case of a delayed arrival, the tourist’s camping pitch will be kept available until 12:00 the following day. After which it will be considered free.
9 – CAUTION MONEY:
For rented accomodation, the tourist is required to pay a deposit of caution money on arrival. This deposit will be refunded on departure, after the final inspection of the accommodation, or for early departures the deposit will be returned within 15 days. If, however, damage has been caused a reduction will be made to cover the costs of reparation.
